Top 10 Gifts for the Woman Who Has Everything
What to Get the Lovely Lady in Your Life (Your Wife, Mother, or Female Boss)
Ok, so it's probably getting close to Christmas, her birthday, Mother's Day, or your anniversary. What are you thinking about getting that special lady in your life? Well, take it from me: Don't get her an iron or some old casserole dish, as I have watched some of my friends do. This was something my dear old pop, bless his soul, thought was a good idea, and it was not a pretty sight.
Household goods are a no-go for a special occasion. Instead, browse this list for the top gifts to bestow upon the woman who has everything (I haven't met one yet, but one might exist somewhere).
What to Give the Lady Who Has Everything
Now if she really has everything, my top bit of advice is not to get her another thing she will simply add to her collection. You should be going for an experience or memory that will last forever. Then on your special occasion, write her a letter about what you have planned and why it made you think of her. Include why it's special and you think she'll love it. Put it in a card and give it to her with something small, like flowers, earrings, or chocolate.
If you can't see anything that catches your eye, you should at least leave here with some good ideas of what she may like. So check them out and good luck.
1. A Day at the Spa
All right, then, chaps, the first item on this list is a day at the spa. A day at the spa will give your lady a mini vacation. I personally think that a woman doesn't need one, as she is already beautiful, but some do try to enhance perfection, and others view it as a way to unwind.
Have a sly chat with her friends in a roundabout sort of way to see if there are any "in" spots she would like or search online for the best reviews. For the indecisive fellas, all Nordstroms also have spas, and you can buy a package or get a gift cards.
2. A Massage
One of the best gifts that everyone needs, no matter how much they have, is relaxation. Treat your lucky woman to a Swedish or hot stone massage. Some spas also give massages, so do your research and perhaps you can give her both in one go!
3. A Vacation
Gents, a getaway is one of the most romantic things you can get for your lady. If this is for the winter holidays, take advantage of the time off! Now, if you only have the weekend or a trip to Bora Bora is outside of your price range, get creative. Rent a cabin that's nearby so you can still escape from the world without breaking the bank.
4. An Excursion
Now if she's the outdoorsy type, an excursion may be more up her alley. You could both go on a ski trip or find a spot to go white-water rafting. If there's something more ambitious on her bucket list (for example, Machu Picchu), you can make this a gift for the books that she'll always remember!
5. A Class
Here's a gift that will last forever. Just as some women try to enhance the physical perfection, others are already dazzlingly brilliant, but like to acquire new skills. Get her a cooking, figure drawing, scuba diving, or sailing class. Consider a class for two—perhaps you can finally learn how to swing dance. The sky's the limit!
Now this is another one where a sly chat could be handy. Don't just jump in the deep end and buy her something for the sake of buying it, or she may get the wrong end of the stick and think you're trying to say something. Try to pick up on whether she would like something like this.
6. A Concert or Show
The best kind of gift is something your lady secretly wants, but would never spring for herself. If there is an act that she really wants to see, then perfect. You have yourself a gift already lined up. If not, think about a band that she always talks about that's coming to town. Other shows, like Cirque du Soleil, or anything that can make it in Vegas, are also top picks. By tickets for two, so you can enjoy as well!
7. A Posh Show
By "posh," I mean something refined like theater, opera, or dance. If this is the type of thing she loves, go for it, and make a night of it. By that, I mean dress up, get dinner, the whole shebang. Look up what will be in town and float the idea of a show by her—just say, "I heard they are performing x, have you heard of it?"
8. Never-Ending Wine
If the two of you are inclined to sip on a bottle of red or white, join a wine club! Join a wine cub for a year, and you'll get a shipment, coupled with notes detailing all of the notes and such of each vintage, of different wines each month. This is a truly shareable gift (I doubt she'll drink the bottle(s) by herself).
If you haven't the faintest clue of where to begin, Forbes has a guide. Cheers!
9. Seasonal Fruit
There are also fruit clubs. The classic club is Harry and David's, which is known for its pears, but will deliver different seasonal, mouthwatering fruits each month. However, there are many different companies that offer this service, and there may be a fresher one near you (sometimes restaurants, butchers, or cheese shops have similar deals). Each time the next immaculately wrapped package arrives at the door, she will think of you, which is prime—she will be thanking you for this all year round.
10. A Year-Long Procession of Flowers
Flowers are a can't-miss. Many women appreciate a man who will give her flowers without occasion, and here's a way to ensure that you never go too long without remembering. Services such as H. Bloom will deliver different arrangements of flowers to your lady every month, or as often as you would like. H. Bloom will specifically ask her what her style is, which is perfect for chaps who couldn't tell a succulent from a hydrangea. And if you arrange for them to be delivered to her workplace, you'll brighten many a stressful day and make her the envy of all of her friends—which, as we all know, is an excellent thing.
