Baby Thank You Cards
Having a baby is not only special to the parents but also to friends and family. Between unwavering support and gifts for the little one, everyone who contributes deserves some appreciation and gratitude. What better way to show your love and appreciation than with a handwritten thank you card?
However, has mommy brain caused writer's block? Are you clueless about what to write on your thank you notes? Do you need advice on the best wording?
If so, don't fret! I've compiled a few samples that will spark inspiration and will help you decide the best thing to write.
What Do You Write in a Thank You Card for Baby Clothes?
These are 5 steps that will help you draft your thank you cards:
- Personalization: Make it personal by stating the exact gift that person gave you. By saying this, they will be sure that they know you received exactly what they sent you. Also, this will make the recipient feel that you are being genuine and aren't copying and pasting the same message in every card you write.
- Gift Usage: The recipient will love to know that your child is getting good use out of their gift and it isn't just sitting in a drawer or closet somewhere.
- Pictures: This is even better than just talking about how useful the present was. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
- Memories: This can either be you just talking about something cute your newborn did, or better yet, a memory you have of your child using the gift.
- Future Plans: You can just write something as simple as, "please come see us soon or we'd love to get together for dinner!" This will show the recipient that they aren't just a gift-giver, but a close friend of the family.
When Should You Send Out Thank You Notes?
If possible, try to mail the cards within a month of your baby shower or receiving the gift. The notes are not only a gesture of gratitude, but they let the person know that you received the gift. Plus, sending out thank you notes will encourage more gifts in the future!

Thank Yous Go a Long Way!
The most important thing to remember is that saying thank you goes a long way. Many people don't expect a handwritten thank you card from busy new parents, but it is meaningful. If you are too busy for a card, simply pick up the phone and acknowledge their kind gesture.
