Prayers to God
"The young woman was at the end of her rope. Seeing no way out, she dropped to her knees in prayer. "Lord, I can't go on," she said. "I have too heavy a cross to bear. "The Lord replied, "My daughter, if you can't bear its weight, just place your cross inside this room. Then, open the other door, and pick out any cross you wish." The woman was filled with relief. "Thank you, Lord," she sighed, and she did as she was told. Upon entering the other door, she saw many crosses, some so large the tops were not visible. Then, she spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall. " I'd like this one, Lord," she whispered. And the Lord replied, "My daughter, this is the cross you just brought in."
My Grandmother by her Granddaughter Joan
"Grandma's Tea Rose"
In Grandma's Garden,a long time ago, A sweet smelling tea rose decided to grow She pampered and watered and fertilized and shared: Sometime later when Grandma's time had passed, Her daughter,Gledis, wanted the tea rose to last, She took a cutting to pamper, water, fertilize, and share; The sweet smelling tea rose knew that she cared. Grandma's tea rose continues to grow and to thrive; It helps us remember when Grandma was alive. Dried petals and small clippings we frequently share. Like our love for each other;she taught us to care. There's a pattern for pillows and one special quilt; Grandma's sweet smelling tea rose never shall wilt. Like the sweet smelling tea rose that our Grandma shared; We each felt her love and knew that she cared

I am not there.
I am not there
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the snow on the mountain's rim,
I am the laughter in children's eyes,
I am the sand at the water's edge,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn rain,
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the star that shines at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
