7 Religious Easter Speeches, Messages, & Poems

Speeches are a wonderful way to spread a very important message whether it’s for a cause or keeping the truth in holidays.

Holidays such as Easter are often not celebrated in the manner which was intended, and that is to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who was crucified for our sins and then rose again on a day we now know as Easter.

Giving an Easter speech in His honor each Easter can make for a great family tradition and is also a wonderful idea for the church service. Young children and other fellow Christians should partake in such a positive experience, sharing their experiences and what Easter and Jesus mean to them.

Easter Messages for Everyone

1. The Cross speech:

It is not a secret that Jesus was crucified upon a wooden cross for our sins, then rose again giving us the eternal lives we should be thankful for, especially on Easter, and any day, really.

We must keep faith, praise Him, serve Him, thank Him for all that He has done for us, for none of this would have been possible without His shedding of blood. This wooden cross that stands behind me, use it as you may, to lay your burdens down and forget them here, they’ll stay.

We do not need to hold burdens as they’ve been crucified with our Christ. We gather in this holy sanctuary to receive His message. Today, that message is, Happy Easter! What a blessing!

2. Easter, to you:

Easter comes but once a year,

How will you celebrate?

Will you keep Jesus on your mind

as you clear your plate?

Will you find those Easter eggs,

eat chocolate and jelly beans?

Will you stop to think about

your Almighty Heavenly King?

Think about what this all means

to have beautiful days like this,

all because Jesus died on the cross

to cleanse us of our sins.

Come that Sunday,

He arose from his crucifix.

All for the love of his fellow people

Who else would ever do this?

Our one and only, Jesus Christ.

Never forget what he went through

To bring this joyous Holiday,

Easter, to you.

3. Short speech:

As we all sit here smiling and in great spirits on this great Easter day, let’s not forget why we are here, gathered together, to celebrate.

Recall all of the pain Jesus went through, think about His strength that it took to rise back from the dead. And now think about everything we have, and everything we have to celebrate.

Thank Jesus for this day as we head into our meal, for it is because of him that we have everything, and have each other.

4. Short poem:

Jesus is good, Jesus is great

Jesus died for us, what a fate!

Rose again on this Easter Sunday

Jesus loves us, and gave us this fun day!

5. Cute speech for a young child:

I’m thankful for a Jesus that loves me, and he brings me chocolate and eggs on Easter! He died for our sins and came back to life to bring us chocolate for all eternity! I love Jesus! Amen!

6. Another cute speech:

I always wondered why Jesus sends bunnies on Easter to deliver all of his gifts to every child in the world, and then it occurred to me; bunnies are like a little piece of heaven!

They are white and soft like the clouds of heaven, fast like our journey through life, and probably haven’t committed a sin in their lives which makes them pure! And they eat healthy. Very healthy.

So Jesus won’t have to worry about them eating all of the jelly beans. And I’m pretty sure they don’t like to eat eggs either. Hm.

7. How to spell Jesus:

J is for Jesus

E is for esus

S is for sus

U is for us

S is for s?

What does that spell? Jesus!

Let Jesus Speak

When it comes to Easter speeches, you can almost forget the note cards. He will speak through you to deliver a special message if you let him in. Let Him be your guide in the words you want to say, and the entire speech will fall into place!

If you are the type with stagefright, make sure you say a little prayer before you speak, asking Jesus to help you find the words to say, and guide you, He will.
