If you're hosting or helping to host a baby shower party, then pull apart cupcakes are perfect for the party as the portions are so easy to divide. You know as well as I do- how could anyone refuse to take a bite from this adorable treat?
Baby Letter Block Centerpieces
Baby letter blocks have to be one of the most striking decorations you can use for any occasion.
When you're throwing a baby shower for a friend or relative, it isn't just a super nice thing to do; it can also be quite a stressful event. As someone who's organized over 100+ baby showers, from the decor to the food and everything in between - why not check out some of the awesome ideas and tips I've learned along the way.
If you're worried about the expense, luckily, there are lots of ways to save cash by going the DIY route, especially with baby shower favors, centerpieces, desserts, decorations, and so much more!
Baby Shower Gift Baskets
Watch the video below to learn how to create an awesome gift basket for someone who has a newborn on the way. If you know your friend or family member is due in a few months, then a really good tip is to buy one item per week. Then when by the time the baby shower is happening, you should have a load of items ready to pack your basket with!
So what are the kinds of items you could buy? Every baby needs a sleeper, especially a soft, cozy one, and a full-length zipper will make it easy to use for Mama. You could also add some headbands and bows that can be mixed and matched with different outfits for that extra cuteness!
Next up, you could add some bib sets - which are so handy, especially when bottle feeding. Stuffed animals are also a great addition as babies love to squeeze and hug them as they drift off the sleepy land!
For me, a candy table is one of the most exciting parts of a baby shower! So whoever is hosting the party, why not call ahead and see if you can help out organizing some of the treats!
For example, you could make some Rice Krispie treats, cake pops, and pretzel rods! All of these are pretty straightforward to make, and the great thing about all these treats is that you can choose different colors of chocolate to match whatever theme you want to make!
Baby Shower Cookies
Everyone always loves cookies no matter what occasion it is, so why not make some baby shower-themed cookies!

So get your baking trays at the ready (with cutters) and your icing kit and make some of the cutest cookies you'll ever see! And another great thing is you can choose whatever color icing you want to match the baby shower theme!
Cake pops are the queen of all treats, especially at a baby shower. So why not make some for your next baby shower?
So just follow the directions on your cake mix box, and once the cake is baked - pull it out of the oven and let it cool completely. Start cutting the cake out (leave the edges as they can be a bit harder) and place it into a bowl, then add some frosting (about two tablespoons), mix it up, then use an ice cream scoop to start creating the balls for your cake pops!
Rice Krispie Treats
Everyone loves rice krispie treats and they're so simple to make - so if you've been asked to bring something along to a baby shower, then this is definitely something you'll want to make!
The first thing you'll need is the ingredients: a bag of mini marshmallows, 6 cups of rice krispies, half a stick of butter, a casserole pan, bake easy spray, candy melts (pink, or whatever color you like), and some sprinkles.
Baby Shower Cupcakes
These cupcakes will make the perfect gift for a baby shower, but you can also use your new skills for other events and make cupcakes for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays like Easter and Valentine's!
Hot Air Balloon Gift or Centerpiece
Hot air balloon baskets make the perfect wrapper for a baby shower gift (you can even use them as a centerpiece decoration as well!)
So here are some of the items you'll need to complete the project: clear cable ties, a Chinese lantern (you can choose whatever color you like to match the theme), a wicker basket, jewelry making wire, canes/sticks, toys, baby clothes (bibs, pajamas, etc.)
Here's a recipe every baby shower needs - pink sherbet punch! So grab your ice ring add water, oranges, and raspberries, and put it in your freezer (you'll need to do this the day before your baby shower!).
Then grab your punch bowl, add the fruity ice ring and pour in 1 packet of cherry Kool-Aid, raspberry sherbet, pineapple juice, ginger ale, 7-Up, and for the pièce de résistance, add some champagne! Yummy!
How to Make a Baby Shower Cake
Every celebration needs a cake, so why not follow the tutorial below to make something similar to the cakes below - the more expert you are, the more creative you can be. Why not try adding things like baby shoes, rattles, pacifiers, etc., to give the cake the 5-star treatment!
Other Baby Shower Ideas
If you need a quick DIY gift but have nothing to hand in except coffee filters - then voila! Why not craft up these awesomely 'fluffy as a cloud' coffee filter pom poms?
You can hang them from the ceilings and backs of chairs or even just place them around the room for decor.
You could even wrap some pink tulle fabric around a glass candle holder for a gorgeous table centerpiece or dress a pumpkin into a magical fairy!
